5 individuals took a quick trip to Fargo to serve, connect, and have fun while doing it!
Five members of our church recently returned from a quick, but meaningful mission trip to Fargo, North Dakota. During their time there, they served lunch at the Churches United- Micah's Mission, offering food to those in need. The girls also learned some new skills in the kitchen. Dominique, the kitchen manager had a phrase she shared a few times- "if you ain't sneezin' you ain't seasonin"" She was a dynamic individual what really lived out a love for God and others! The team also visited Fargo First UMC, where they toured the Caring Closet, a clothing distribution ministry that provides free clothing to individuals and families in need.
Additionally, they partnered with River Keepers, helping to mark storm drains as a reminder to protect local water systems. It was a powerful time of service, learning, and connection—living out Christ’s call to love our neighbors in tangible ways.
And of course, some just plain fun and recreation was part of the time too. A trip to the Red River Valley Zoo and time for swimming. Next year- we are looking at a mission trip for families (youth, parents, grandparents) to Omaha! (of course, the Omaha Zoo will have to be on the list of fun things to do!)
